ISLAMABAD: ( The COW News Digital)The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has reported recoveries amounting to Rs 547.31 billion during the first six months of the current fiscal year. This recovery also includes reclamation of government land worth billions of rupees.
According to NAB’s half-yearly report, properties worth Rs 532.33 billion were transferred to federal and provincial departments as well as other institutions, after being recovered.
Sharing details, a spokesperson from the bureau informed that Rs 3.2 billion was distributed among 11,880 victims through NAB Lahore, while NAB Sukkur recovered National Highway Authority (NHA) land valued at Rs 25 billion.

In Islamabad’s Sector E-11, 51 kanals of government land worth Rs 29 billion were also recovered. NAB Lahore also recovered eight properties valued at Rs 9.3 billion.
The spokesperson added that 12,611 fraud victims were returned their money during the reporting period.
