National ( The cow news digital ) In a decisive encounter of the Pakistan Super League Season 11, Hyderabad Kings Men delivered a dominant performance to defeat Multan Sultans by eight wickets, eliminating them from the race to the final.

The match, played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, saw Hyderabad opt to field first after winning the toss. Multan Sultans posted a total of 159 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs, largely driven by a composed innings from Shan Masood, who remained unbeaten on 69 off 46 deliveries.

Other contributions from Multan’s batting lineup were modest, with Sahibzada Farhan scoring 15, Steve Smith adding 13, and Mohammad Nawaz chipping in with 18 runs. Hyderabad’s bowling unit shared the workload effectively, with Mohammad Ali, Hunain Shah, and Akif Javed claiming two wickets each.

In response, Hyderabad Kings Men chased down the 160-run target comfortably in the 16th over, losing only two wickets. Maaz Sadaqat led the charge with an unbeaten 64, while Usman Khan matched him with a brisk 64 off 35 balls. Saim Ayub remained not out on 15 as the team sealed a convincing victory.

With this result, Multan Sultans’ campaign in PSL 11 comes to an end, while Hyderabad advance to Eliminator 2. They are set to face Islamabad United, with the winner earning a place in the final against Peshawar Zalmi.

Peshawar Zalmi had earlier secured their spot in the final after defeating Islamabad United in the qualifier, setting up an exciting conclusion to the tournament.
