National ( The cow news digital ) An incident in Lahore has raised serious concerns after allegations emerged that some police personnel collaborated with individuals from the transgender community to honeytrap citizens and extort money.

According to police officials, the case took place in the Kot Lakhpat area of Lahore, where two members of the transgender community allegedly lured a resident of Kasur to a flat. Once he arrived, he was reportedly subjected to violence and robbed of cash by multiple suspects.

Authorities stated that during the same incident, four police officials also arrived at the location and allegedly intimidated the victim. They are accused of taking his identification documents and additional cash under pressure.

Following the complaint, law enforcement registered a case and arrested four police constables identified as Waqas (police constable), Suleman (police constable), Umair (police constable), and Irfan (police constable).

Police have also launched raids to arrest the five nominated suspects from the transgender community who are allegedly involved in the incident. Investigators say the case includes charges of extortion, assault, and abuse of authority.

Officials have described the allegations as serious misconduct, noting that the involvement of law enforcement personnel in criminal activity undermines public trust in the police system. A departmental inquiry has also been initiated alongside the criminal investigation.

Further proceedings will depend on the outcome of the investigation and evidence collected from the scene and witnesses.
