World ( The cow news digital ) Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has praised the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, stating that the country is in the hands of a leader who understands the struggles of the people and is committed to providing relief even in challenging circumstances.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, Aurangzeb expressed gratitude, saying that the current leadership has consistently stood by the public during difficult times rather than leaving them to face economic hardships alone.

She commended the prime minister for his recent decision to shield citizens from the full impact of rising global oil prices. According to her, despite a continuous surge in international fuel rates, the government managed to absorb the pressure for nearly a month without transferring the burden directly to consumers. She described this move as a reflection of responsible leadership, effective strategy, and strong fiscal management.

Aurangzeb further highlighted that the government adopted austerity measures and reduced unnecessary expenditures to create fiscal space for public relief. She emphasized that such policies helped maintain stability in Pakistan, especially at a time when many countries around the world are facing fuel shortages and sharp price increases.

The minister also pointed out that instead of imposing a blanket increase in fuel prices, the government opted for a targeted subsidy approach. This, she said, ensured that the economic burden was distributed more fairly and did not disproportionately affect vulnerable segments of society.

In her remarks, Aurangzeb drew a contrast between the current leadership and previous political approaches, criticizing what she described as crisis-driven politics aimed at preserving narratives rather than addressing real issues. She stressed that the present government is focused on practical solutions and public welfare.

Her statement comes amid ongoing economic challenges and rising inflationary pressures, with policymakers under scrutiny for their handling of key financial decisions. As debates continue, the government’s strategy on fuel pricing and public relief remains a central issue in Pakistan’s political discourse.
