National ( The cow news digital ) Pakistani television actress Momina Iqbal has alleged that she has been facing continuous online harassment, cyberbullying, and death threats, prompting her to appeal to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for immediate intervention and protection.

In a series of social media posts, the actress claimed that an individual associated with a political figure has been targeting her and her family through sustained online abuse and intimidation. According to Momina Iqbal, the harassment has caused severe mental stress and fear for the safety of her loved ones.

The actress stated that she had repeatedly approached relevant authorities, including the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, the Federal Investigation Agency, and Punjab Police, seeking legal action against those responsible. However, she alleged that due to political influence, no effective action had been taken on her complaints.

Momina Iqbal further claimed that instead of receiving justice, attempts were allegedly made to suppress her complaints and discourage her from pursuing the matter publicly. She said her family members have also been subjected to threats after she tried to initiate legal proceedings.

Calling for impartial investigations, the actress urged authorities to provide security to her family and take strict legal action against those involved. She warned that if the issue continued to be ignored, she would hold a press conference and publicly share evidence related to the alleged harassment campaign.

In her appeal to Maryam Nawaz, Momina Iqbal requested that the Punjab government ensure transparent and unbiased action against anyone misusing political influence or obstructing justice. She expressed hope that the authorities would act fairly regardless of political affiliations.

Momina Iqbal began her acting career in 2018 with the drama serial “Parlor Wali Larki” and later gained recognition through several successful television projects. She has appeared in popular dramas including Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3, Ehd-e-Wafa, “Samjhauta,” “Ehsan Faramosh,” and “Do Kinare.” Her performance as the negative character Darshahwar in “Do Kinare” received significant appreciation from viewers.

Following her public statement, social media users and fans expressed solidarity with the actress, with many calling on authorities to take swift action against online harassment and threats targeting women.
