North Korea Marks 77th Day, Ties with Pakistan

ISLAMABAD:( The COW News Digital)-On the 77th Foundation Day of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), North Korea’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Choe Chang Min, highlighted the strong and friendly relations between North Korea and Pakistan. 

According to the TCND channel, speaking at a diplomatic dinner hosted by the North Korean Embassy in Islamabad, he emphasized that both nations will continue mutual cooperation on the global stage.

The evening began with the national anthems of North Korea and Pakistan, setting the tone for a night of diplomacy and unity. A diverse group of political figures, ambassadors, and diplomats attended the reception.

Ambassador Choe Chang Min praised the leadership legacy of DPRK’s founding leaders, Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, and the current leader Kim Jong Un, under whose guidance, he said, North Korea has achieved milestones in prosperity, development, and public welfare.

He reiterated that Pakistan is considered a friendly country by the DPRK, and expressed hope for continued bilateral collaboration in international affairs.

Minister of State for Finance, Bilal Azhar Kayani, who served as the guest of honour, addressed the gathering and reaffirmed the historical, friendly, and traditional ties between Pakistan and North Korea.

He stated that Pakistan welcomes the recent U.S.–North Korea summits and dialogues between the leaders of North and South Korea. He emphasised Pakistan’s ongoing support for peaceful and balanced efforts toward Korean reunification.

The evening concluded with a ceremonial cake-cutting, symbolising shared goodwill between the two nations.
