Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued a strong warning to extremists, stating that if any terrorist groups attempt to re-enter Pakistan, they will face the same fate as before: they will be killed, captured, and any conspiracy will be thwarted.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Minister Naqvi said, “This is a message to all those who raise arms against Pakistan, whether they are terrorists or extremists, the outcome will be the same. This is a warning for all those who attempt to attack Pakistan.”
He also praised the efforts of security forces, acknowledging their success in a recent operation where 54 militants were killed while attempting to infiltrate Pakistan from Afghanistan. He added, “Security forces have been carrying out outstanding operations. We have seized eight landmines from various cities, and it is well known who is funding the terrorists. We will not spare anyone involved in plotting against Pakistan and will continue to thwart all conspiracies.”
Minister Naqvi further remarked that Pakistan is prepared to respond decisively if any further incidents occur, specifically referring to the recent Pahalgam incident in Indian-administered Kashmir. He reiterated Pakistan’s offer for impartial international investigations into the incident, emphasizing that Pakistan does not trust Indian investigations, and any actions taken by India will be met with a strong response.
The security forces successfully foiled a major infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, resulting in the deaths of 54 militants. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces identified the movements of a large group of militants attempting to cross into Pakistan from North Waziristan on the night of April 25-26 and 26-27. The forces conducted a timely operation, preventing the infiltration and recovering a significant amount of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
