RAWALPINDI (The COW News Digital) Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the Afghan Taliban regime is responsible for stopping India-backed terrorism originating from Afghan soil.
In an exclusive interview with Arab News, the military spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s singular demand that Kabul prevent foreign territory from being used against Pakistani state security. He highlighted that 80 percent of suicide bombers operating inside Pakistan are Afghan nationals and pointed out that every militant group infiltrating across the border includes Afghan citizens.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry warned that if the Afghan Taliban administration fails to honor its international commitments under the Doha Agreement, Pakistan retains the full right to self-defense. Addressing the security situation in Balochistan, he noted that insurgents lack public support and rely on armed force to impose their agenda, backed by foreign sponsorship from India and externally operated social media networks.
Reaffirming national security policy, the military spokesman emphasized that the state will conduct no negotiations with terrorist entities. Turning to regional defense ties, he underscored Pakistan’s unconditional, historic commitment to Saudi Arabian security under bilateral strategic defense agreements, confirming full military and diplomatic readiness to defend the Kingdom against external aggression.
