PESHAWAR(The COW News Digital) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the Peshawar Corps Headquarters and reviewed the prevailing security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with ongoing counterterrorism operations, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the visit, the field marshal was briefed on the security environment across the province, border management measures and the operational preparedness of formations deployed in the region.
According to ISPR, the briefing covered the latest security developments and the measures being undertaken by security forces to counter terrorist threats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Field Marshal Asim Munir directed the formations to maintain a high level of vigilance and ensure the highest standards of operational preparedness.
He emphasized the resolve of the armed forces to defeat terrorism and contribute to lasting peace and stability across the country.
The visit comes as security forces continue counterterrorism efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a region that has remained a key focus of Pakistan’s security operations.
The military leadership has repeatedly emphasized the importance of maintaining operational readiness and strengthening security measures along the country’s borders.
During the briefing, the field marshal was also updated on the deployment and preparedness of formations operating in the province. He stressed the need for continued vigilance in view of the prevailing security environment.
ISPR said Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated that the armed forces remain committed to combating terrorism and ensuring sustainable peace and stability in Pakistan.
