Lahore(The COW News Digital) New details have emerged in the investigation into an alleged sexual assault case involving a foreign woman in Lahore, with police relying on forensic and DNA evidence to establish what happened at a private apartment on Raiwind Road.

According to investigative sources, a woman identified as Muskan has provided information during questioning about the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident involving the foreign national, Diana. Her account is being examined as part of the ongoing investigation and has not been independently established.

Sources said Muskan told investigators that Diana went into a room with a man identified as Mohsin while other individuals allegedly handed over Rs45,000. She further claimed that after Diana came out of the room, the two men involved had already left.

According to the same account, the suspects later contacted Muskan and another woman, Nimra, and allegedly told them that Diana was demanding Rs2 million. Sources said the situation subsequently became contentious, after which Muskan and Nimra stopped communicating with Diana and the three suspects.

Police have collected DNA samples from the alleged victim and the suspects as part of the investigation. The detained suspects were also taken to a forensic laboratory for the collection of samples, officials said.

Investigators are expected to compare the samples obtained from the suspects with material collected from the alleged victim. A forensic team has also examined the reported scene at an apartment in a private housing society on Raiwind Road and collected evidence for laboratory analysis.

Police said investigators have collected fingerprints from the location and obtained samples from utensils reportedly used at the scene. Evidence has also been collected from a vehicle allegedly used by the suspects.

Digital evidence is another key part of the investigation. Police are attempting to recover and examine relevant digital material that could help establish the sequence of events, communications between the individuals involved and movements before and after the alleged incident.

Authorities have emphasized that the question of whether the incident involved multiple assailants will be determined through forensic findings and other evidence rather than allegations alone.

Police officials said the investigation remains underway and that the forensic report will play an important role in determining the facts of the case. Investigators are also examining statements from the individuals involved and other available evidence before reaching conclusions.

Officials said the complete findings will be made public after the investigation is completed. Until then, the allegations against the suspects remain unproven and subject to the ongoing legal process.
