Islamabad (The COW News Digital ) A report submitted to the Islamabad High Court has revealed that three cases are currently registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan’s sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, in Islamabad.

The details emerged during the hearing of a petition seeking information about cases registered against the two sisters. Justice Shah Rukh Arjumand presided over the proceedings, while lawyers Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry and Shaheena Shehab appeared on behalf of Aleema Khan. Government lawyer Usman Ghuman represented the state.

The Islamabad High Court disposed of the petition after the relevant authorities submitted a report containing details of the cases and an ongoing investigation involving the two women.

According to the report presented before the court, Islamabad Police has registered three cases against Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan. The report also stated that an inquiry concerning the two sisters remains pending with the Federal Investigation Agency.

The government lawyer informed the court that, based on the information available up to the date of the hearing, these three police cases and one FIA inquiry were the only proceedings recorded against the sisters in Islamabad.

The petition had originally been filed through Barrister Salman Safdar, seeking comprehensive details of any criminal cases registered against Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan.

The matter dates back to October 2024, when the petition was filed during the arrest of the two sisters. The legal proceedings subsequently continued as the court sought information from the authorities regarding their cases.

Following submission of the official report, the Islamabad High Court concluded that the purpose of the petition had been addressed and formally disposed of the case.

The development provides a clearer picture of the legal proceedings involving the two sisters in Islamabad, with the official report identifying three registered police cases and one pending FIA inquiry.

The court proceedings come amid continued legal and political developments involving members and associates of the PTI leadership. Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan have remained active in seeking legal relief and raising concerns regarding cases involving members of their family and the wider political situation.

The latest report, however, specifically concerns proceedings recorded in Islamabad and does not represent a complete count of any cases or inquiries that may exist in other jurisdictions.
