Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has taken prompt action against its regional sales manager in Dubai, removing him from his post amidst multiple allegations of harassment. The move comes as part of PIA’s commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
According to a spokesperson for PIA, several complaints were lodged against the manager, accusing him of harassing women. The airline’s administration immediately sprang into action, launching an investigation into the allegations.
“The safety and well-being of our employees are of utmost importance to us,” said the spokesperson. “We take all allegations of harassment seriously and will not tolerate such behavior in our organization.”
The accused manager has been removed from his position in Dubai pending the outcome of the inquiry. PIA has assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted, and appropriate action will be taken based on the findings.
This move comes on the heels of another high-profile incident, in which PIA’s deputy station manager in the UK, Iqbal Javed Bajwa, resigned after it was revealed that his FA certificate from the Lahore board was fake.
PIA has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy regarding falsified credentials, stating that appropriate action was taken in Bajwa’s case.
The airline’s swift action in both cases demonstrates its commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and respect in the workplace.
