National ( The cow news digital ) An Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad on Wednesday extended the protective bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers and senior leaders until July 23, while also directing that no arrests be made in multiple ongoing cases registered against them.

The hearing was conducted by Judge Abu Alhasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), where a total of 243 pre-arrest bail applications related to PTI leaders were taken up for proceedings. The cases stem from various protest-related incidents, including demonstrations held on November 26, as well as alleged actions outside the Supreme Court and other locations in the federal capital.

During the proceedings, the court granted relief to PTI members of the National Assembly, senators, and other senior figures by extending their interim bail and restraining law enforcement agencies from arresting them until the next hearing date. The court’s order effectively maintains the existing protective bail status for the accused individuals.

A large number of political leaders appeared before the court during the hearing. Those present included senior PTI figures such as Umar Niazi, Latif Khosa, Junaid Akbar, Arbab Sher Ali, Sajad Khan Mohmand, Senator Falak Naz Chitrali, and several others. Additional leaders, including Khurram Sher Zaman, Raja Basharat, Rauf Hasan, Niazullah Niazi, former Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Saimabia Tahir, Nadia Khattak, and retired Major Tahir Sadiq, also attended the proceedings.

According to case records, multiple FIRs have been registered against PTI leaders in different police stations across Islamabad, including Kohsar, Khanna, Tarnol, Karachi Company, and Secretariat police stations. The charges relate to alleged involvement in protests, unrest, and violations of public order laws during political demonstrations.

The court adjourned further proceedings until July 23, directing all concerned parties to ensure compliance with its orders. Law enforcement agencies were instructed to maintain the status quo regarding arrests until the next hearing.

The development marks another significant step in the ongoing legal proceedings involving PTI leadership, as multiple cases continue to be heard simultaneously in different judicial forums.
