National ( The cow news digital ) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan met his wife Bushra Bibi at Adiala Jail, according to jail sources.
Officials said the meeting between the couple took place inside a conference room within the prison premises and lasted approximately 30 to 35 minutes. The arrangement was made under standard jail procedures, which reportedly allow scheduled family meetings under the prison manual.
Jail sources confirmed that both individuals were allowed to meet in a controlled environment, ensuring compliance with security and administrative protocols. The meeting was conducted without any reported incident, and both parties were later returned to their respective locations within the facility.
According to prison administration details, such meetings are facilitated on a weekly or scheduled basis in line with jail regulations. Authorities stated that the purpose of these arrangements is to ensure inmates can maintain limited family contact while adhering to security guidelines.
Earlier, PTI lawyer Sultan Safdar had expressed concern over Imran Khan’s detention conditions, stating that his client’s health and isolation in custody remain serious issues. He added that access to the PTI founder and his family has been limited over the past year.
Legal representatives have also raised concerns regarding restricted meetings, claiming that only a few interactions have been permitted in recent months. They argue that consistent access is necessary for legal consultation and family support.
Imran Khan, who has been facing multiple legal cases, remains incarcerated at Adiala Jail amid ongoing political and judicial proceedings. His party continues to demand improved access to legal counsel and medical facilities.
