KP Govt Allocates Portfolios to Cabinet Members

National ( The cow news digital ) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has officially assigned departmental portfolios to provincial ministers, advisers, and special assistants as part of its latest administrative restructuring aimed at improving governance and departmental performance.

According to an official notification issued in Peshawar, Nazir Ahmad Abbasi has been given charge of the Energy and Power Department, while Shakeel Ahmad has been appointed as the provincial minister for Communications and Works.

Muhammad Arif has been assigned the Minerals and Mineral Development portfolio, whereas Tariq Mahmood Arain has been entrusted with the Revenue and Estate Department.

The notification further stated that Shafiullah Jan has been given the Information and Public Relations Department. Adviser to the Chief Minister Musawir Khan has been assigned the Climate Change, Forests, and Environment portfolio.

Liaqat Ali Khan has been handed responsibilities related to Zakat, Ushr, Social Welfare, and Women Empowerment. Meanwhile, Humayun Khan has been appointed to oversee the Industries and Commerce Department.

Mian Muhammad Umar has been assigned the Agriculture Department, while Special Assistant Tariq Saeed has been given charge of Home and Tribal Affairs. Muhammad Usman will supervise the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), and Tufail Anjum has been appointed Special Assistant for Population Welfare.

According to the government statement, Iftikhar Ullah Jan has been assigned the Prisons Department, while Samiullah Khan will oversee Transport and Mass Transit affairs.

In addition, Malik Adil Iqbal has been entrusted with Culture, Tourism, Archaeology, and Museums, whereas Muhammad Khurshid has been assigned the Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperatives Department.

The reshuffle and allocation of portfolios are being viewed as an important administrative move by the provincial government to streamline governance and strengthen departmental coordination. Political observers believe the appointments will shape the government’s policy direction and administrative priorities in the coming months.

Officials say the newly assigned ministers and advisers are expected to begin work immediately on departmental reforms and development initiatives across the province.
