RAWALPINDI: Security forces neutralized 11 terrorists during a series of successful Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) executed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, security sources confirmed on Thursday.
The targeted operations were conducted in South Waziristan and Bannu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as the Khuzdar district in Balochistan, against elements belonging to Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan. Significant caches of arms, ammunition, and explosives were recovered during the actions.
In Bannu, security forces launched a precision IBO, eliminating two terrorists belonging to Fitna-al-Khawarij and destroying an explosive-laden hideout. Meanwhile, in the Ladha area of South Waziristan, forces intercepted and surrounded moving militants following real-time intelligence, neutralizing five insurgents in the ensuing engagement.
Separately, in the Sasol area of Khuzdar, Balochistan, security forces utilized quadcopter surveillance to target hostile positions effectively, resulting in the deaths of four Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorists.
Security sources emphasized that meticulous planning ensured zero civilian casualties or property damage during the operations. The military reaffirmed its commitment to continuing counter-terrorism operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.
