RAWALPINDI (The COW News Digital) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has stated that the extensive experience and guidance of military veterans remain an invaluable institutional asset in navigating today’s rapidly evolving security landscape.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief and Chief of Defense Forces hosted a grand reception in honor of retired Pakistan Army veterans to mark Independence Day. A large number of retired military officers and soldiers attended the special ceremony at General Headquarters.
During his address, Field Marshal Munir paid glowing tribute to the veterans for their lifelong sacrifices and dedicated services toward national defense, acknowledging their enduring role in strengthening the country’s resilience.
“In the face of increasingly complex and changing security challenges, the experience, guidance, and continuous commitment of our veterans serve as a priceless asset for the institution and the nation,” the Field Marshal emphasized.
During the interaction, the assembled veterans expressed profound confidence in the leadership of the Pakistan Army. They reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to stand alongside the armed forces in countering emerging security threats and hybrid challenges.
Furthermore, the retired personnel pledged to continue playing an active, constructive role in promoting national unity, sustainable peace, regional stability, and economic prosperity across the country.
