National ( The cow news digital ) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has fulfilled a key pledge made to the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) within 72 hours, delivering a fleet of ten state-of-the-art electric buses to the region.
The gift of eco-friendly transit vehicles arrived in Azad Kashmir following their departure from Islamabad, where they were met with enthusiastic receptions from local residents, community members, and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party workers. The newly arrived buses were decorated with banners featuring Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, marking the fleet as a dedicated gift to the public of AJK.
The delivery fulfills a public commitment jointly announced by PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz during their opening election rally in Muzaffarabad. During the address, the leadership promised to introduce modern electric bus services to improve public transportation infrastructure in the territory.
The rapid arrival of the bus convoy marks a swift political turnaround on election commitments, as local authorities prepare to integrate the modern transit fleet into AJK’s regional public transport system.
