World ( The cow news digital ) PML-N leader and former Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique launched a sharp verbal attack on PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, stating that “rusty arrows” cannot hunt a lion. The sarcastic remark came following Bilawal’s election campaign speeches in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Taking to social media, the veteran PML-N politician poked fun at the Pakistan Peoples Party’s electoral symbol, the arrow. Rafique wrote that bent and rusted arrows might only be suitable for targeting jackals and foxes—adding that even that seemed beyond the PPP leadership’s capability. He firmly maintained that such weapons could never take down a lion, referring to the election symbol of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
“Bent and rusted arrows might manage to hunt jackals and foxes, though even that appears beyond your reach. They certainly cannot hunt a lion,” Rafique posted.
The political spat flared up amid the ongoing election campaign in Azad Kashmir, where Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has been actively addressing public gatherings, including a recent rally in Mirpur. During his addresses, the PPP chairman asserted that his party would “hunt the lion” in Kashmir just as they previously did in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Tensions between the two traditional political allies have visibly heightened as both parties intensify their campaigns to secure control in the region. Rafique’s swift rebuttal highlights the growing friction ahead of the upcoming electoral contest in Azad Kashmir.
