National ( The cow news digital ) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured full cooperation and support to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in efforts to combat terrorism following a deadly attack on a police post in Bannu district.
According to official sources, the prime minister held a telephonic conversation with Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, during which he strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on a police station in Bannu and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives.
During the call, Shehbaz Sharif offered condolences to the families of the martyred police personnel and prayed for the elevation of their ranks. He reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism from the country and said that all possible assistance would be provided to strengthen counterterrorism efforts in the province.
The prime minister emphasized that Pakistan remains determined to eradicate all forms of militancy and violence, adding that coordination between federal and provincial authorities is essential to achieve lasting peace and stability.
Chief Minister Sohail Afridi also condemned the attack and expressed prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured. He reiterated that the fight against terrorism is not limited to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but is a national struggle requiring unified action across all institutions.
Afridi stated that the provincial government stands firmly with all families affected by terrorism and will continue to support them in every possible way. He stressed the importance of collective efforts to eliminate extremist threats from the region.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also condemned the incident, describing terrorists as enemies of peace and humanity. He praised the courage and professionalism of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, saying they are bravely confronting extremist threats on the front lines.
