World ( The cow news digital ) Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share deep, brotherly and strategic relations, adding that any threat to Saudi Arabia is considered a concern for Pakistan as well.
Speaking during a press briefing, the military spokesperson emphasized that the relationship between the two countries is not only based on diplomacy but also on strong emotional and historical ties. He said both nations respect each other’s sovereignty and place high importance on mutual security.
Responding to a question regarding regional security dynamics and potential aggression, the DG ISPR referred to the long-standing strategic mutual defense understanding between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He described it as a reflection of decades of cooperation and trust between the two countries.
He further stated that the protection of the Haramain Sharifain holds great significance for Pakistan and the wider Muslim world. According to him, safeguarding these holy sites is regarded as a matter of immense responsibility and honor, closely linked with Saudi Arabia’s national security.
The military spokesperson said that Pakistan values the security and stability of Saudi Arabia, just as Saudi Arabia values the security of Pakistan. He added that both countries’ interests are interconnected, and any threat to one would naturally have implications for the other.
He clarified that while existing agreements define the framework of cooperation, operational details remain part of formal arrangements between the two states.
The DG ISPR also highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to its defense obligations, stating that the country remains fully prepared and confident in its military capabilities. He noted that Pakistan has made significant sacrifices in the fight for regional stability and continues to maintain a high level of readiness.
He further remarked that Pakistan’s armed forces enjoy strong public support and trust, which he described as a key element of national defense strength.
Referring to broader regional tensions, he said there had been misconceptions regarding divisions between the military and the public, adding that such assumptions do not reflect reality.
The statement comes amid ongoing discussions on regional security cooperation and Pakistan’s role in Gulf stability, particularly in the context of evolving geopolitical developments.
