National ( The cow news digital ) Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has alleged that militant elements operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are receiving external support, including funding and training from hostile foreign actors.

Speaking in the Senate, Rana Sanaullah strongly responded to recent political remarks regarding the security situation in the province, stating that terrorism should not be conflated with political differences. He emphasized that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is an integral part of Pakistan and represents millions of patriotic citizens.

He claimed that extremist groups involved in violent activities are being supported through foreign funding and training networks, naming India and Israel in his remarks. According to him, these groups consist of a small number of misled individuals engaged in organized militant activity against the state.

The adviser further argued that national security concerns should not be politicized, warning that linking terrorism with political debate could worsen internal divisions. He maintained that Pakistan’s leadership has repeatedly offered dialogue to address grievances through parliamentary channels.

Rana Sanaullah also referred to recent statements from the Prime Minister, stating that the government has consistently encouraged political dialogue within institutional forums, including parliamentary committees and the Speaker’s chamber, for resolving disputes.

Addressing regional security concerns, he said that militants operating from across the border in Afghanistan pose a serious threat to Pakistan’s internal stability. He added that Pakistan has conveyed a clear message to Afghan authorities to choose between supporting militants or maintaining bilateral peace and cooperation.

He further stated that in cases where attacks originate from across the border, Pakistan reserves the right to respond to militant infrastructure used for training and planning operations.

Rana Sanaullah stressed that terrorist groups have no legitimate political demands and are acting purely as enemies of the state. He reaffirmed that Pakistan remains committed to eliminating militancy through coordinated security efforts.

The statement comes amid ongoing debate in parliament over rising security incidents in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and broader concerns about cross-border militancy.
