Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gauhar has stated that the Al-Qadir Trust case should be dismissed on merit following the Supreme Court’s recent decision. He argued that the Toshakhana case no longer falls under the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) jurisdiction due to new amendments, which exempt cabinet decisions from NAB laws. Similarly, the Al-Qadir Trust decision was made by the cabinet, and the case should be dismissed based on merit.
Gauhar also criticized the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) decision to reject PTI’s petitions, calling it “wrongful and malicious.” He emphasized that PTI had not yet presented arguments on the petitions.
Additionally, PTI leader Shibli Faraz labeled the recent court decision restoring NAB amendments as “NRO 2” and pledged to take the case to the public. He criticized the ruling coalition for laws that make life difficult for the common people.
