According to law enforcement officials, the prime accused, Faisal Karim Masud, along with his accomplice Alamgir Sheikh, escaped across the border within hours of the incident.

Police sources stated that the suspects crossed into India on Friday through the Haluaghat border area in Mymensingh district. Investigators revealed that after the attack, the suspects initially traveled from Mirpur to Gazipur, changing vehicles multiple times in an apparent attempt to evade surveillance before reaching the border region. Authorities believe this carefully planned movement suggests prior preparation and local assistance.

As part of the ongoing investigation, Bangladeshi police have detained two individuals on suspicion of facilitating the suspects’ illegal border crossing. Officials said these individuals are being questioned to determine the extent of their involvement and whether a broader network assisted the escape.
