The 43-year-old fruit vendor, a father of two, was hospitalized after being shot while confronting the gunman, yet his brave actions have saved countless lives.
According to Reuters, the attack occurred during a Jewish community event when two armed men, a father and son duo, opened fire on civilians. Ahmed initially took cover behind parked vehicles but soon rushed toward one of the attackers, wrestled the rifle from him, and subdued him, preventing further casualties. During the confrontation, Ahmed was shot twice in his arms and sustained injuries that required immediate medical attention. His family confirmed the bullets hit his hands and arms, and he has undergone initial surgery, though further treatment may be required.
