The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan also released a statement expressing grief over the loss of civilian lives and solidarity with the families of the victims and those injured in the attacks. The embassy described the incidents as tragic and reiterated China’s support for Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts.

Experts say China’s statement underscores the long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries, particularly in security and counterterrorism cooperation. Over the past decade, Beijing has supported Islamabad in strengthening security infrastructure, intelligence sharing, and regional stability initiatives.

The recent attacks in Balochistan, which targeted both civilians and security personnel, have raised concerns over the safety of residents in the province and the broader stability of the region. China’s response signals its continued commitment to working alongside Pakistan to mitigate threats and prevent future attacks.

Lin Jian further highlighted that international cooperation is essential in tackling terrorism effectively. He expressed confidence that through sustained joint efforts, Pakistan and its partners can curb extremist activities and protect regional peace.

China has repeatedly expressed concern over terrorist threats in Pakistan, particularly in border areas and provinces critical to regional development projects, such as Balochistan. The statement aligns with Beijing’s broader security policy in South Asia, where it seeks to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens, investments, and initiatives under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The reaffirmation of support comes at a time when Pakistan continues large-scale counterterrorism operations in Balochistan, aimed at dismantling extremist networks and restoring security in the region.
