World ( The cow news digital ) Masoud Pezeshkian has sharply criticized the United States, accusing it of “hypocrisy” and broken promises, which he says are major obstacles to progress in ongoing ceasefire negotiations.
In a statement shared on social media, the Iranian president said the world is witnessing what he described as contradictions between Washington’s statements and its actions. He argued that such inconsistencies have undermined trust and stalled efforts to revive meaningful dialogue between the two sides.
Masoud Pezeshkian pointed to three key issues: continued threats from the United States, ongoing naval restrictions affecting Iran, and repeated violations of commitments. According to him, these factors have made it difficult to move forward with comprehensive and genuine negotiations.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions following recent developments in the region, including the extension of a fragile ceasefire. Donald Trump had earlier indicated that the truce could continue until there is internal consensus within Iran regarding key strategic matters, including policies related to the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian officials, however, maintain that dialogue must be based on mutual respect and adherence to commitments. Pezeshkian reiterated that Tehran remains open to negotiations but stressed that trust must be rebuilt before any meaningful progress can be achieved.
