TEHRAN(The COW News Digital) Iran has announced a significant enhancement in its missile capabilities following last year’s conflict with Israel, claiming both qualitative and quantitative improvements based on battlefield experience.
The Iranian Ministry of Defense stated that the missiles currently in its arsenal are more advanced than those used during the June conflict with Israel. According to Iranian officials, the upgrades were made in response to evolving security threats and lessons learned during the confrontation.
Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Defense, said Iran has increased not only the technical capability of its missiles but also their overall numbers since the end of the war. He noted that Iran’s missile force is now stronger and more effective than it was during the 12-day conflict.

“The missile capability and volume have both improved compared to the recent war,” Talaei-Nik said, adding that Iran’s defensive systems have also been reinforced. He emphasized that operational experience gained during the conflict has played a key role in refining missile accuracy, survivability, and response readiness.
The defense spokesperson further revealed that Iran has developed missiles with specialized capabilities tailored to counter specific threats. However, he said details regarding these new systems would remain classified to preserve strategic surprise. “Such preparations are kept confidential so that the enemy can be confronted decisively at the right time,” he added.
Talaei-Nik dismissed what he described as recent “threats” against Iran, calling them evidence of fear rather than strength. He argued that hostile rhetoric reflects growing concern among Iran’s adversaries about the country’s expanding missile power and defense preparedness.
Iran had used missiles extensively during its conflict with Israel, targeting what it described as military and economic infrastructure. Iranian officials claim the strikes caused significant damage, although Israel has not publicly confirmed the full extent of the losses.
Iranian analysts believe the scale and impact of the missile attacks played a role in prompting the United States to announce a ceasefire on June 24, helping to prevent further escalation. Tehran has repeatedly framed the conflict as proof of its deterrence capability.
At the same time, Iranian political and military leaders have issued warnings to Washington, stating that any direct US attack on Iran would trigger retaliatory strikes against American military installations across the region.
As tensions remain high in the Middle East, Iran continues to present its missile program as a core pillar of national defense, insisting it is designed solely for deterrence and protection against external aggression.
