World ( The cow news digital ) Iran has outlined a set of key demands in its ongoing diplomatic engagement with the United States, calling for an end to hostilities across multiple fronts, the release of frozen assets, and enhanced maritime security. The statement comes amid renewed efforts to bridge differences between Tehran and Washington through negotiations.
According to Iranian state-linked media reports, recent communications from the United States have helped reduce some of the gaps between both sides. However, Iranian officials stressed that further progress depends on Washington ending what Tehran describes as threats of war and pressure-based diplomacy.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said that Tehran is pursuing talks with “seriousness and goodwill,” while maintaining “logical and justified reservations” regarding the process. He added that Iran remains committed to a diplomatic path but expects reciprocal steps that reflect genuine intent from the United States.
Baghaei stated that Iran’s priorities include a complete cessation of conflict across all regional fronts, the unfreezing of Iranian financial assets held abroad, and an end to what it calls “maritime piracy” against Iranian vessels. He also dismissed speculation surrounding Iran’s nuclear program, saying such claims are disconnected from reality.
He further noted that discussions are not limited to nuclear issues but extend to broader regional conflicts, including Lebanon and other ongoing tensions in the Middle East. According to him, the goal of negotiations is to reduce instability and promote regional de-escalation.
Iran has maintained that any agreement must be balanced and include guarantees that its economic and strategic concerns are addressed. Officials emphasized that detailed updates on the negotiations will only be shared by authorized representatives of the foreign ministry and the official negotiating team.
Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that talks with Iran are currently underway, with Washington’s primary concern being to ensure that Tehran does not develop nuclear weapons. He also suggested that efforts may include securing Iran’s highly enriched uranium stockpiles.
