National ( The cow news digital ) Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir has reiterated that Pakistan’s fight against terrorism will continue with full national resolve until lasting peace and stability are achieved across the country. He made the remarks while addressing a ceremony held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) to confer military awards on officers and soldiers.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the ceremony was attended by senior military leadership and honored personnel who demonstrated exceptional bravery and service during various operations. Field Marshal Asim Munir was the chief guest at the event.
During his address, the Field Marshal paid tribute to the families of martyrs, praising their resilience, dignity, and courage in the face of immense sacrifice. He said that the sacrifices made by martyrs and their unwavering commitment to the country remain a source of national pride.
He emphasized that martyrs and veterans are a lasting honor for the nation, adding that their contributions must always be respected and remembered as a sacred trust. He stated that the peace and stability enjoyed by the country today is the result of the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for national security.
Awards were also distributed during the ceremony in recognition of outstanding performance in various operations. A total of 50 Sitara-e-Imtiaz and 12 Tamgha-e-Basalat were conferred on officers and soldiers for their distinguished bravery and service.
Field Marshal Asim Munir also appreciated the operational readiness and unwavering commitment of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in combating terrorism and ensuring national security.
He reiterated that the armed forces remain fully prepared to respond to any threat, and that the mission against terrorism will continue until complete stability is achieved in Pakistan.
Officials say the statement underscores the military’s continued focus on internal security challenges amid ongoing counter-terror operations across different regions of the country.
