Islamabad (The COW News Digital) Pakistan, along with seven other Muslim countries, has strongly condemned attempts to forcibly evict Palestinians from their land, issuing a joint statement emphasizing the need to uphold Palestinian rights and ensure regional stability. The announcement came from the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
In the statement, the ministers expressed serious concern over Israeli policies aimed at displacing residents of the Gaza Strip to Egypt. They described such measures as unacceptable and in violation of international norms. The ministers underscored their opposition to any forced relocation of Palestinians and urged Israel to allow freedom of movement through the Rafah crossing in both directions.

The statement also welcomed efforts by former U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed peace plan, calling for its full implementation while emphasizing that Palestinians must not be compelled to leave their homeland. The ministers stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza and the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to address the ongoing crisis.
The joint declaration called for immediate reconstruction and rehabilitation of Gaza and emphasized the importance of creating favorable conditions for the Palestinian Authority to resume responsibilities in the region. Coordination with regional and international partners, including the United States, will continue to ensure support for these initiatives.
Furthermore, the statement reaffirmed support for a two-state solution, based on the 1967 borders, and recognized East Jerusalem as the capital of a future independent Palestinian state. The ministers highlighted the critical role of international cooperation in maintaining peace, stability, and human security in Gaza and across the region.
Analysts say this unified stance by Islamic nations reflects growing concern over humanitarian and political developments in Palestine. It signals strong diplomatic pressure on Israel to respect international law and underscores the commitment of Muslim-majority countries to Palestinian self-determination.
The joint statement also called for the protection of civilians, restoration of essential services, and the urgent need for long-term peace efforts to prevent further conflict. By presenting a unified front, these countries aim to strengthen negotiations, ensure accountability, and foster a framework for sustainable peace in the Middle East.
