During his stay, Prince William is scheduled to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The meeting comes in the backdrop of growing economic ties between the two countries, following last year’s visit by the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, which resulted in trade and investment agreements worth £6.4 billion ($8.7 billion).

Prince William will also attend several events highlighting Saudi Arabia’s economic reforms under Vision 2030, as well as initiatives related to culture, environmental sustainability, and social development. The programme includes engagements focused on urban planning, sustainable growth, women’s participation in sports, e-sports development, and environmental conservation.

A key part of the visit involves interactions with young Saudi citizens, reflecting the shared emphasis of both countries on youth engagement, innovation, and future-focused development.

The Prince of Wales has previously met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on several occasions. In March 2018, he hosted a dinner for the Saudi Crown Prince in London alongside his father, then Prince Charles. On the same day, the late Queen Elizabeth II also held a separate meeting with the Saudi leader.

As part of his itinerary, Prince William will travel to the historic city of AlUla, where he will visit wildlife conservation reserves, meet members of the local community, and tour the Prince of Wales House. The facility serves as a hub for promoting arts, culture, and creative collaboration between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.

The visit underscores the continued importance both nations place on diplomatic engagement, economic cooperation, and cultural dialogue amid evolving regional and global dynamics.
