Saudia(The COW News Digital) Saudi Arabia has carried out death sentences against three individuals after terrorism-related charges were proven against them, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Interior announced. The executions follow lengthy investigations and legal proceedings conducted under Saudi law and Islamic Sharia.
According to Saudi media reports, the individuals executed were identified as Hussein bin Salem bin Mohammed Al-Amri, Saud bin Hleil bin Saud Al-Anzi, and Bassam Mohsen Maran Al-Subaie. Authorities stated that all three were found guilty of serious crimes that posed a direct threat to national security and public safety.
The Ministry of Interior said security agencies arrested the suspects after uncovering their involvement in multiple terrorist activities. Following their detention, the cases were referred to a special court, where prosecutors presented evidence linking the accused to acts of terrorism. After reviewing the evidence, the court issued death sentences in accordance with Sharia principles and Saudi regulations.
In an official statement, the Ministry detailed the charges against the convicted individuals. These included planting explosive devices in vehicles belonging to security forces, attempting to kill law enforcement personnel, and providing shelter and logistical support to terrorist elements. Officials said such actions endangered lives and undermined the safety and stability of society.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that the verdicts reflect the Kingdom’s firm stance against terrorism and its commitment to maintaining security. It reiterated that anyone found guilty of threatening public order or targeting security forces would face the harshest penalties under the law.
Saudi authorities have consistently stated that counterterrorism measures are essential to protect citizens and residents from extremist violence. In recent years, the Kingdom has intensified security operations, intelligence coordination, and legal action to prevent attacks and dismantle militant networks operating within or linked to the country.
Human rights organizations have often criticized the use of capital punishment in Saudi Arabia, particularly in cases related to security and terrorism. However, Saudi officials maintain that the legal process in such cases is thorough and that punishments are carried out only after all judicial procedures are completed.
The Ministry concluded its statement by warning that any attempt to disrupt peace or support terrorist activities would not be tolerated. Officials stressed that ensuring stability remains a top priority, and security agencies will continue to act decisively against individuals or groups involved in extremism.
