Islamabad (The COW News Digital) Pakistani actress Hania Amir has been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by UN Women Asia and the Pacific to promote a safe and inclusive digital and financial environment for women and girls in Pakistan. The announcement was made by UN Women’s Asia-Pacific Regional Director, Christine Arab.
Welcoming Hania to the mission, Christine Arab highlighted the importance of fostering online and offline safety for women while encouraging empowerment and inclusion. Hania Amir, in her address, stressed the urgent need to reshape online behaviors and challenge harmful social norms to enable women and girls to work, study, and express their opinions without fear.
