Cairo(The COW News Digital)Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty emphasized that lasting peace and stability in Gaza largely depend on Israel’s cooperation, stating that full implementation of the peace agreement’s provisions is critical for success.
According to media reports, Abdelatty stressed that every clause of the Gaza peace agreement, including the ceasefire, the fulfillment of responsibilities by all parties, and the facilitation of humanitarian aid, must be fully executed to ensure sustainable peace. He highlighted that Israel’s active role is essential, particularly in respecting the agreement’s terms and achieving its objectives.
“The ceasefire can only be stabilized if all provisions of the agreement are properly implemented. This is a prerequisite before moving on to the second phase of the agreement,” Abdelatty stated. He warned that any lack of cooperation from Israel on key points could jeopardize the overall peace process.
Egypt, Qatar, and other mediator countries have reiterated that the success of the Gaza peace initiative goes beyond signing documents. Practical implementation, mutual consent from all parties, and pressure from the international community are necessary to translate the agreement into real-world stability, with Israel’s participation being indispensable.

Analysts note that Abdelatty’s comments reflect Egypt’s long-standing role as a mediator in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, particularly in efforts to maintain ceasefires and manage humanitarian relief in Gaza. The emphasis on Israel’s cooperation signals ongoing concerns about enforcement and compliance with previously negotiated agreements.
The international community continues to monitor developments closely, as Gaza faces persistent security, political, and humanitarian challenges. The success of the peace plan hinges on coordinated efforts among regional stakeholders, adherence to agreement terms, and the willingness of Israel and Palestinian factions to uphold their commitments.
Abdelatty concluded that without full adherence to the agreement’s provisions and Israel’s active engagement, achieving sustainable peace in Gaza will remain a formidable challenge, underscoring the delicate balance required to maintain stability in the region.
