The report highlights state-sponsored oppression, human rights violations, and the promotion of extremist policies under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
According to Al Jazeera, the BJP government used the Pahalgam incident as a pretext to fuel extreme nationalism through its pro-government media, intensifying harsh measures against the Kashmiri population.
The report reveals that over 1,500 innocent individuals were detained without evidence, and thousands of homes were destroyed without any investigation. These actions were reportedly aimed at instilling fear and silence among the Kashmiri people.
