ISLAMABAD: On the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr, parks and recreational spots across the country saw an overwhelming turnout as families came out to celebrate.
On the first day of Eid, most people remained engaged in family gatherings and exchanging greetings. However, by the second and third day thousands of people, including women and children, flooded parks and public spaces.
In Islamabad Lake View Park, Shakarparian, Daman-e-Koh, Faisal Mosque, Jasmine Garden, and Japanese Children’s Park, became prime attractions for fun-seekers.
In Rawalpindi, parks such as Nawaz Sharif Park, Ayub National Park, Family Park in Commercial Market, and Jinnah Park remained packed with visitors. However, many citizens expressed concerns over the lack of facilities, overpriced food at cafeterias, and additional charges for parking at some locations.
Amusement parks remained open from 8 AM to 1:30 AM during the three-day Eid holidays. Children enjoyed various rides, including swings, motorboats, dodging cars, and camel rides. Families also took mini-train rides and snapped pictures with wild and caged animals
Children enjoyed swings and merry-go-rounds, while adults delighted in watching their little ones embrace the festive spirit. Many families also traveled to Murree Hills to make the most of the good weather and scenic beauty.
LAHORE ZOO BECOMES CENTER OF ATTRACTION
During the Eid holidays, Lahore Zoo, Safari Park, and other recreational spots witnessed a huge crowd.
The Lahore Zoo, Safari Zoo Lahore and Bahawalpur Zoo have been significantly upgraded, making them highly attractive destinations.
Visitors included women, children, the elderly and individuals with disabilities. Tourists showed immense interest in the newly introduced species of deer, monkeys, parrots and other rare birds. The Lion Safari and Tiger Safari were particularly popular.
The new aquariums, food courts, fun land, Salt Range, and Night Safari facilities were thoroughly enjoyed, with visitors appreciating the recent upgrades.
KARACHI BEACHES SWARMED
In Karachi, people have turned to the beaches and enjoyed the holidays with their friends and family. The Sindh government has made foolproof security arrangements at all the public places to provide safety and help to the people in need and keeping the flow of traffic normal.
This year, the government announced a three-day holiday (March 31- April 2) for Eid-ul-Fitr, giving citizens ample time to enjoy outdoor activities.
