World ( The cow news digital ) Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has addressed speculation surrounding the religion of his third wife, Gauri Spratt, following public criticism and alleged threats linked to his personal life and marriages.

According to Indian media reports, the controversy began after Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane accused Aamir Khan of being a “brand ambassador of love jihad” in connection with his interfaith marriages. A Hindu religious leader from Ayodhya, Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya, reportedly supported the statement and made allegations regarding the actor’s marriages.

The remarks were followed by reported threats against the actor, including an announcement of a reward for anyone who attacked him. After these developments, Aamir Khan spoke about his family and marital choices during a recent interview.

The actor clarified that his third wife, Gauri Spratt, is not Hindu but a Christian. He explained that his previous marriages were also based on personal choices and that neither his first wife, Reena Dutta, nor his second wife, Kiran Rao, changed their religion after marriage.

Aamir Khan stated that all of his marriages were civil marriages and that religious conversion was never a condition. He emphasized that his family respects different faiths and believes in coexistence.

The actor further shared examples from his family to highlight religious diversity. He said that his sisters are married to Hindu men, his cousin Mansoor married a Christian woman, and his daughter also married a Hindu man.

Aamir Khan’s first marriage was with Reena Dutta in 1986, which ended in divorce in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, and their marriage ended in 2021. The actor later announced his relationship with Gauri Spratt.

The controversy has sparked discussions on social media and in Indian public circles regarding personal choices, interfaith marriages, and the role of celebrities in social debates.
