Araghchi made the remarks while responding to comments by Jordan’s foreign minister, questioning whether the Jordanian official was unaware that the United States had used the airspace, land and territorial waters of Arab countries during its initial military strikes.
According to Araghchi, the use of regional territory and airspace during the attacks resulted in the deaths of innocent Iranian civilians. He strongly criticized what he described as a disregard for the sovereignty of countries in the region.
The Iranian foreign minister also questioned how long Iran should be expected to wait before responding to what he called an aggressor that respects neither the sovereignty of Arab states nor that of Iran.
