President Donald Trump asserted that the United States maintains absolute authority over the Strait of Hormuz, declaring that Iran is severely devastated and no longer functions as a regional threat. In a public statement shared via social media, Trump emphasized that American military positioning has effectively neutralized Tehran’s strategic leverage.

Describing the current naval deployment as an impenetrable “wall of steel,” the U.S. President stated that Washington exercises complete oversight of the vital maritime corridor and intends to maintain its chokehold. According to Trump, ongoing economic isolation and military setbacks have drastically diminished Tehran’s operational capabilities, leaving its armed forces and leadership in disarray.

“The U.S.A. has total control over the Strait of Hormuz. I think we will keep it,” Trump wrote. He further claimed that Iran’s military infrastructure, including elements of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has been heavily compromised, with remaining personnel facing severe economic hardship and unpaid wages.

Highlighting domestic pressures within Iran, the U.S. leader pointed to skyrocketing inflation rates reaching 300 percent, alongside what he characterized as a collapse of traditional state-backed infrastructure. Trump concluded by remarking that Tehran’s current posture relies primarily on rhetoric rather than substantive action, officially marking an end to its historical dominance in the region.
