Iran has offered to mediate in the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India, expressing its readiness to play a constructive role in easing the dispute.
In a statement shared on social media, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that Iran is prepared to mediate between Pakistan and India, both of which are neighboring countries with strong cultural and civilizational ties.
Araqchi emphasized that Iran is ready to make every effort to facilitate understanding and dialogue between the two nations during this challenging time.
Earlier, in a phone conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Araqchi reiterated Iran’s willingness to contribute to reducing tensions and promoting regional stability.
Ishaq Dar commended Iran for its constructive and responsible approach and expressed Pakistan’s desire for successful negotiations between the United States and Iran.
In addition, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, also reached out to both Pakistani and Indian foreign ministers to discuss regional tensions. During his conversation with Ishaq Dar, Prince Faisal talked about measures to reduce the escalating tensions and promote stability.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister engaged in talks with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, focusing on reducing hostilities and fostering peace.
