Pakistan ( The cow news digital ) Attaullah Tarar, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, has strongly condemned what he described as “unacceptable propaganda” against the state, urging individuals involved in such activities to show responsibility and restraint.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Tarar emphasized that the current regional situation, particularly in the Middle East, has highlighted Pakistan’s growing diplomatic importance. He stated that the country’s constructive role is being acknowledged by the international community, crediting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir for strengthening Pakistan’s position on the global stage.
Tarar noted that Pakistan has emerged as a strong and responsible voice internationally, citing recent developments in Geneva where the country’s diplomatic engagement received significant attention. He asserted that national interest must remain above all political considerations, adding that no individual or political party can be placed above the state.
While acknowledging that criticism is a democratic right, the minister stressed that undermining the country’s dignity is unacceptable. “Political opposition should not come at the cost of national integrity,” he said, warning against actions that could harm Pakistan’s global image.
The minister also took aim at elements allegedly involved in anti-Pakistan campaigns abroad. Referring to certain individuals, including Arif Ajakia, Tarar claimed they have been promoting narratives favoring India while criticizing Pakistan on international platforms. He further accused members linked to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf of engaging in activities that undermine the country’s interests.
Addressing economic concerns, Tarar rejected claims that Pakistan is on the brink of default. He said the government has successfully stabilized the economy and improved key indicators, including exports. He criticized past actions such as writing to the International Monetary Fund and calling for sanctions, terming them irresponsible and harmful.
Tarar concluded by stating that despite challenges and external pressures, Pakistan remains resilient. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding national interests and warned that any attempts to destabilize the country through misinformation or propaganda would not be tolerated.
