Sources confirm that Naqvi expressed deep disappointment over the repeated failures of experienced cricketers during the ongoing tour of England, where Pakistan suffered consecutive Test match losses. In response, the PCB chief issued explicit instructions to the selection committee directing that veteran players who fail to deliver will no longer receive repeated chances in the national squad.
Naqvi’s strategy focuses on building a younger, future-ready team by fast-tracking Junior and Under-19 talent into international cricket with long-term backing.
