World ( The cow news digital ) The political leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government will initially approve a three-month budget instead of presenting a full annual financial plan, pending further consultation with the party’s founder.

According to PTI Secretary General Salar Akram Raja, the provincial government has decided to move forward with a temporary budget arrangement until a final decision is made after consultation with the party’s leadership. He stated that the full annual budget will not be presented until a meeting is held with the party’s founding chairman, Imran Khan.

Speaking to journalists near Adiala Road, Raja said he had already discussed the matter with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. He confirmed that the provincial government would initially pass a three-month budget paper as an interim financial measure.

He explained that Article 125 of the Constitution allows for a temporary budget arrangement, enabling the government to operate on a short-term financial framework. According to him, this legal provision will be utilized to ensure continuity of government operations while broader political consultations are completed.

Raja further stated that if a meeting with Imran Khan does not take place before June 30, the KP government will proceed with presenting a three-month budget instead of a complete fiscal plan. He emphasized that the final budget would only be introduced after direct consultation with the party leadership.

The announcement reflects ongoing political uncertainty within the province, where budgetary decisions are increasingly linked with internal party consultations and legal considerations. Analysts suggest that the move indicates a cautious approach by the provincial government as it navigates both administrative requirements and political direction from the party’s central leadership.

The development is expected to generate further debate within political circles, particularly regarding governance continuity and the use of interim financial measures in provincial administrations.

As the deadline approaches, attention remains focused on whether a meeting with the PTI founder will take place and how it will influence the final shape of the KP budget.
