KP Schools Reopen After Summer Break as Morning Assembly Suspended

PESHAWAR — Summer vacations have officially concluded across public sector educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with middle, high, and higher secondary schools reopening their doors today.

In light of weather conditions, the Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued an official notification suspending morning assemblies in schools. According to the directive, morning assemblies will remain suspended in summer-zone middle, high, and higher secondary schools from August 17 through August 31.

Meanwhile, educational institutions located in winter zones—spanning primary, middle, high, and higher secondary levels—will continue to operate according to their regular schedules and timetables.

The notification further confirmed that all schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will resume normal routines and regular timetables starting September 1, 2026.
