National ( The cow news digital ) Rawalpindi: Aleema Khan’s legal counsel, Faisal Malik, has strongly dismissed the allegations leveled against prominent lawyer and politician Salman Akram Raja, labeling them as “completely baseless and unfounded.” Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi, Malik emphasized that these accusations hold no merit and are aimed at undermining the political standing of the veteran lawyer.
Highlighting Raja’s professional integrity, the counsel noted that Salman Akram Raja was one of the most successful lawyers in Pakistan, earning millions of rupees monthly through his private practice. Malik argued that Raja’s decision to abandon a highly lucrative career in law to enter the political arena reflects his genuine commitment to serving the country. “He did not enter politics for monetary gain; he is here for public service. Those who know him are well aware of the personal and professional sacrifices he has made for his beliefs,” Malik stated.
The briefing took place ahead of Aleema Khan’s court appearance in an anti-terrorism case. Regarding the legal proceedings, the counsel stated that they are prepared to defend the case vigorously. He emphasized that Aleema Khan has instructed her legal team to pursue a complete dismissal of the charges, which the defense maintains are politically motivated.
Faisal Malik further informed the media that they have requested the court to expedite the judicial process. “We have prayed to the court to proceed with the remaining matters and deliver a verdict as soon as possible. We are optimistic that the court will uphold the principles of justice and decide the case without further delay,” he added.
The legal team remains confident that once the facts are presented, the court will find no evidence to support the claims against both Aleema Khan and Salman Akram Raja. As the proceedings continue, the defense remains focused on achieving a swift and favorable outcome, dismissing the ongoing narrative against the accused as a series of unsubstantiated claims designed to create legal hurdles.
