National ( The cow news digital ) Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member of the National Assembly Ali Muhammad Khan has indicated openness to a renewed Charter of Democracy, suggesting that political forces in Pakistan should sit together to establish clear “rules of the game” for the country’s political future.

Speaking during a televised program “Centre Stage,” Ali Muhammad Khan responded to recent remarks by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offering dialogue on a possible Charter of Democracy. He said such an initiative is possible if all major political stakeholders commit to meaningful engagement and institutional stability.

He stressed that dialogue should not be limited to political parties alone. According to him, representatives of the country’s establishment should also be included in the discussion so that a comprehensive framework can be developed. This framework, he argued, should define boundaries and prevent recurring political crises.

“Political forces should sit together, and even establishment representatives should be part of the process,” he said, adding that once agreed, these rules must not be violated under any circumstances. He questioned why Pakistan should continue to face repeated political confrontations when a consensus framework could be developed to ensure stability.

The PTI leader emphasized that several senior political figures across party lines, including experienced members of the current government, could play a constructive role in such dialogue. He expressed confidence that meaningful engagement among leaders could help reduce political tensions and institutional uncertainty.

Ali Muhammad Khan also commented on electoral disputes, suggesting that concerns related to the general elections of 2013, 2018, and 2023 could be addressed if necessary. However, he clarified that reopening past electoral results alone would not resolve Pakistan’s deeper political challenges.

He further highlighted internal party concerns, stating that administrative inefficiencies within political organizations should be addressed urgently. According to him, leadership at the top level must show greater seriousness and urgency, particularly regarding pressing issues such as the release of PTI’s founder.

His remarks come at a time when political discourse in Pakistan is increasingly focused on dialogue, institutional balance, and electoral legitimacy, with calls for a broader consensus gaining attention across party lines.
