World ( The cow news digital ) Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has stated that she is not pursuing any political position and that her family’s role is solely to support her brother. Speaking to journalists near Gorakhpur checkpoint close to Adiala Jail, she emphasized that more committed and capable individuals should take leadership roles within the party.
She clarified that her involvement in political matters should not be interpreted as an ambition for any office. “It is not that I am not eligible for any position. We are only standing with our brother. People who are more committed and capable than us should come forward,” she said.
Aleema Khan reiterated that Imran Khan remains and will continue to remain the chairman of PTI. She added that the party was built over decades of effort and struggle, and it should be run according to his vision and principles. According to her, the foundation of the party reflects 30 years of political work, which should not be deviated from.
She also called on party workers and supporters to overcome fear and actively assert their democratic rights. Referring to public expectations from political leaders, she said voters have the right to question their representatives and demand accountability.
Commenting on recent political developments, she mentioned that the government had reportedly requested the cancellation of a planned PTI gathering on April 9. She argued that if the government was under pressure at that time, party leadership should have insisted on the transfer of Imran Khan for medical treatment instead of restrictions on political activities.
Aleema Khan further stated that PTI remains committed to peaceful political engagement and would continue dialogue if initiated by the government. She stressed that political disputes should be resolved through negotiation rather than confrontation.

Responding to a question about Iran–US negotiations, she said that Iran appears to be speaking the truth and that trust-building between parties is only possible when intentions are transparent. She also criticized inconsistencies in US policy, suggesting that contradictory statements from American leadership undermine credibility in international agreements.
Her remarks come at a time of heightened political tension in Pakistan and ongoing regional diplomatic uncertainty, reflecting PTI’s continued emphasis on political struggle and institutional accountability.
