Islamabad: Senator Irfan Siddiqui, spokesperson for the government’s negotiation committee, has urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to take advantage of Prime Minister’s renewed offer for comprehensive dialogue.
In a statement on social media platform X, Siddiqui criticized PTI’s unilateral withdrawal from negotiations, calling it a non-political and undemocratic move that cost the party a valuable opportunity to push its demands.
“PTI must realize that street protests, sit-ins, and long marches have never led them to success in the past, nor will they now,” he stated.
Emphasizing the importance of serious and meaningful negotiations, Irfan Siddiqui advised PTI to reconsider its stance, stating, “The sooner PTI understands that dialogue is the only way forward, the better it will be for them.”
