Doha ( The COW News Digital)Qatar has issued a strong warning following the recent Israeli airstrike that targeted Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital, declaring that its response will not be limited to Doha but will represent the collective voice of the entire region.

According to international media reports, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the response would remain within the framework of international law and diplomatic principles but would reflect the unified stance of Arab and Islamic nations.

“The attack on our capital was not just an attack on Qatar; it was an attack on regional peace efforts and the sovereignty of an independent state,” said the ministry’s spokesperson. The statement emphasized that Arab and Islamic leaders will meet in Doha on September 15 to formulate a joint strategy and determine the next steps in response to Israel’s actions.

Qatari officials have reportedly launched a series of urgent diplomatic communications with major world capitals, including Washington, London, and Paris, to present their case. Qatar has also taken the issue to the United Nations, calling for immediate action to prevent further escalation in the region.

Pakistan has strongly condemned the Israeli strike, calling it a “blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and international law.” The Foreign Office in Islamabad urged the global community to hold Israel accountable for what it termed “a reckless act of aggression.”

Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council released a rare unanimous statement condemning the attack on Qatar, although the text did not directly name Israel. Diplomats confirmed that the statement was drafted with the active involvement of the UK and France, who urged restraint on all sides.

The Security Council statement stressed the need to de-escalate tensions, prioritize the release of hostages, and ensure the protection of civilians across the region. It also reaffirmed its commitment to Qatar’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Diplomatic experts believe Qatar’s reaction could significantly shift the dynamics of mediation efforts in the Middle East. Doha has been a key player in facilitating talks between Hamas, Egypt, and the United States to bring an end to the ongoing Gaza conflict.

Observers warn that a coordinated Arab response could further complicate Israel’s regional standing, while potentially increasing pressure for an immediate ceasefire.
